Hey guys, I've had this problem for awhile now and I'm hoping to finally solve it. Thanks to all who have helped me so far. Here is the summary of what happens.P0755
  • Two weeks ago while driving on the highway, the car downshifted and the check engine light came on. The engine code that appeared was 'P0700' and 'P0755'. P0755 called out the Shift Solenoid B Malfunction. Took my car to an independent mechanic and had him replace solenoid pack.
  • P0755 Meaning Shift solenoid valve B is turned ON or OFF by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the park/neutral position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed and Engine Control Module (ECM) (throttle opening). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.

WranglerEvery few weeks, I get a CEL and flashing arrow. After driving around in 3rd gear for a few miles or so, the car finally reverts back to driving normally. I reset the CEL light and the car is fine for a few weeks. Then, it all happens again. The code I pull is P0755, Shift Solenoid B Malfunction. I have a few questions about this.
a) Am I doing any more damage by letting this cycle continue?P0755
Solenoidb) How probable is it that replacing the shift solenoid would solve this?
c) How much should I expect it to run me to have the shift solenoid replaced

d) If I have one replaced, should I have all of them replaced?
